Lip Sync and Eye Blinking - Development Update

Greetings Adventurers!
We are very excited to bring you this development update and talk about Lip Sync and Eye Blinking.
We recently implemented Lip Sync and Eye Blinking for all the characters created via our Character Editor. As a result, you will now have even more immersive sessions and feel part of your fantasy worlds!
How Lip Sync and Eye Blinking work
Whenever you use voice chat, your DfD character will pick up your voice and starts moving their mouth accordingly to the duration of your speech. Additionally, your character will automatically begin blinking and looking around at the beautiful worlds you’ve built (and the ones to come)!
In the future, we are considering to start working on the Eye Blinking feature details so that your character will pick up the current world’s highlights, to have an always more immersive experience for all of you to enjoy!
Why we added Lip Sync and Eye Blinking
We are incredibly excited to introduce these features, as our goal is to recreate the same social experience you would feel in your average DnD session. With these features, your roleplaying experience will be as immersive as it has ever been! Watching other players’ mouths and eyes moving accordingly to their actions will make you feel like you are in the same fantasy world you created with them!

The Closed Alpha begins tomorrow!

Greetings Adventurers,
Our Closed Alpha is coming tomorrow, Thursday, January 26, 2023, at 5:00 AM CST, which will also be roughly the same time you can begin downloading the Alpha. Receiving an error message like the one attached below is normal, as we have not set the Alpha to be live on our end yet.
The Closed Alpha will end on Monday, January 30, 2023, at 1:00 AM CST. The keys will be sent out today, so be sure to check your emails. If you haven’t received your keys by tomorrow, you can contact us at https://dfd.backerkit.com/faq#contact-us
*Reminder that the keys will be permanent game keys once redeemed in your Steam account. This means that the same key will be used for the final release of Dungeon Full Dive, so you should redeem the Closed Alpha key on your main account and not gift this key to others if you wish to play Dungeon Full Dive upon release.
How will the Closed Alpha work?
The Closed Alpha on Thursday and Friday will be ‘offline’ days. This means that you will be able to prepare maps and characters and get to know Dungeon Full Dive as a tool.
This is due to the discovery of some problems with the network code in our internal scale testing this weekend. We promise to work as hard as we can to get the network up and running as soon as possible and will notify players once the network patch is out.
How to give feedback and report bugs?
As this is an Alpha version of the game, do expect some pesky bugs. Every Alpha player will have access to an in-game tab, where you will be able to give in-depth feedback to us. (Image attached below)
Your feedback is extremely valuable to us and will be greatly appreciated. If you cannot access the in-game feedback tab, feel free to leave your feedback in #feedback instead.
Please note that this Closed Alpha is under NDA, so we kindly ask you not to stream, video capture, or share screenshots of the gameplay. However, you may share finished maps in the #art channel on Discord!
For pledgers who selected 'Oculus' on Kickstarter, you will only receive Steam keys for the Closed Alpha. However, in the case that we're unable to release on Oculus (please note that this would be out of our control, as Meta is very selective on the apps that make it to their store, but we'll do everything in our power to make it in!), the Steam Key that you receive for the alpha playtest will not be deactivated instead and will convert to a permanent key.
We’ve been working really hard on making this Closed Alpha happen, and there is so much more to come. Without all of your support, we couldn’t have come this far, and we’re excited to bring DFD to life. Looking forward to all your feedback, and happy adventuring!

Greetings adventurers,
Our closed alpha is coming soon! It will begin on Thursday, January 26, 2023, at 5:00 AM CST and end on Monday, January 30, 2023, at 1:00 AM CST.
We’ve decided on these times to accommodate adventurers who might want to roll their die on the weekends.
Features coming to the alpha:
Play with your friends. Jump into the DFD multiplayer with your party, chat with your friends and roll the dice.
Explore the World from the eyes of your miniature. Explore the world in VR (or with mouse and keyboard) from the tabletop perspective or jump into your character and interact with a variety of objects right inside your world.
Edit your Hero. Try out an early version of the character creator and switch up your style with the first batch of character assets.
Build your maps. Build your first maps with the first iteration of the map editor: Browse through assets and place them into your world to make them come alive. (Or scale up your Fighters Longsword to 5m because everyone needs one of those). Adjust the lighting and switch from day to night to set the mood.
Please keep in mind that the closed alpha does not include all features that are currently in development, and expect some pesky bugs to pop up! With our first alpha playtest, we want to give you the chance to provide us with your valuable feedback regarding the mechanics of DFD.
Regarding Keys - Closed Alpha Keys are based on the Kickstarter Reward Surveys. Anyone who backed and has filled out the survey will automatically receive a key in your email. In case you haven't filled it out already, you can re-request your reward survey over here: https://dfd.backerkit.com/
The Steam key will be sent to your email. Attached below this message is an image displaying how to activate your key on Steam!

The year is coming to an end, and the Christmas season is calling. An eventful year lies behind us and we would like to thank you once again for all the support you have shown us. 2023 will not only be a more than thrilling year full of adventures for us, but also for you: the players. In this regard, we would like to send you off into the new year with anticipation and excitement:
The closed Alpha is coming!
We are delighted to tell you that we have scheduled our Alpha playtest: It will take place on the 26.-29. of January! The first playtest for Dungeon Full Dive will be playable via Steam and available for our Kickstarter Backers and late pledgers.
What kind of features can you expect in the Alpha?
Play with your friends

With our first alpha playtest, we want to give you the chance to provide us with your valuable feedback regarding the mechanics of DFD, as you will be able to test some of the first versions of the core features.
The alpha playtest is an exclusive early look at the game for our supporters and our first playtest on a large scale. Keep in mind, features are still missing while others might change (based on your feedback) and even though our QA is doing their best job to find every possible bug, there is only so much we can find on our own. So, expect there to be bugs and some rough edges here and there.
But worry not, we have prepared different ways for you to provide us with your feedback and findings (more on this coming soon) during the alpha.
However, for the reasons above this first playtest will be under an NDA. This means that you will not be able to show public footage of this early version of Dungeon Full Dive for now.

We also wanted to quickly recap 2022 in this last community update of the year.
In 2022...
... the TxK Gaming family has grown considerably. Our amazing team was able to level up by welcoming additional, talented industry veterans, who all work eagerly to make DFD an even greater experience for you.
We also owe this to the additional funding for our project, which we received this year from the federal grant for video game developers ("Computerspielförderung"). And so, we are on our best way to provide you with the truly immersive tabletop experience we all are striving for.
As many of you have probably already seen, Dungeon Full Dive can be found on Steam. If you missed this update and want to support us, wishlist DFD on Steam as our release window for mid of 2023 grows closer! (Every wishlist helps us out a ton!)
